Visa-free regime
Citizens of the Republic of Moldova do not need a visa for tourism / transit / stays of up to 90 days within any 180-day period throughout the territory of Turkey.
Accepted documents
- You may enter using either a valid passport or a national identity card (ID card).
- It is recommended that the document be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry into Turkey, although this is not an absolute requirement under the visa-free regime.
Additional documents may be requested at the border, such as:
- return ticket
- proof of accommodation (hotel voucher)
- proof of sufficient financial means for the duration of the stay
Rules of stay
- If you exceed the 90-day limit, you must contact the immigration police to obtain a specific residence permit (usually called “ikamet”).
Safety advice
- avoid demonstrations, protests, and public gatherings that may become unpredictable;
- avoid sensitive areas near the borders with Syria and Iraq in southeastern Turkey;
- remain vigilant in crowded tourist areas (Istanbul, Antalya, etc.).
